Finally got around to framing my “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” embroidery, and it’s for sale on Etsy! I’m totally in love with this, and not gonna lie, I kind of just want to keep it. If it doesn’t sell I’ll take it as a sign.

Although I’m not really a “New Year, New You” type of person,
there are a few things I’d like to do in the next year. Living in NYC for the past few months has been amazing, but I haven’t been taking full advantage of it. That being said, it can be quite overwhelming to dive into, so I want to focus on one thing in the next year: coffee. I love coffee, but my knowledge of it is limited. I want to spend this year sampling the best coffee in the city, learning about brewing, cultivating, exporting and importing coffee, and try my hand at being a barista. I think that pursuing the culture of coffee in the city will lead me to other cultural experiences organically. My love for coffee will always be just for me, it’s not something I want to pursue as a career, so it seems like the perfect focus for an exciting, enlightening new year.

Irena invited us all to her birthday party & asked us to bring our “bathing suites”. Her simple spelling mistake took on a life of it’s own on the invite, leading me to create what I believed a “bating suite” to be.

Maggie’s birthday was at the end of Shark Week, so of course we commemorated it with a Purple Shark Cake!
To make it feel more adult (we’re 26 y’all) the cake was swimming in a sea of Vodka Jello cubes.

In lieu of being able to have clove cigarettes (damn you, Obama!), I bought a few packs of clove chewing gum. It’s probably going to kill me, but hey, we all need our vices. Many have McDonalds, I have the glorious taste of cloves.

Awesome awesome. This came in the mail today. I’ve tried 3 times to put pink highlights in my hair using Manic Panic but not been overly successful so I finally broke down & actually bought an applicator brush/comb, cap & gloves. I have to hold off now in case I find a second job that won’t allow the hair, but as soon as that stuff is squared away…funktastic style here I come!
